Heh.. probably not as freaky as a microwave.

And for your info, we have a microwave in our flat here too, with 6 students, and the only thing we use it for is to heat up scraps and/or a plate of food if one of us is late for dinner.
So i doubt you get used to it as a cooking utensil. To be honest, the only thing they are for is heating things up and making them soggy.. yech.

I probably use mine as much as the oven... perhaps more..... as I am a single mom and quick cooking is always appealing to me.... especially when I am usually in my room on my computer and don't want to stand in the kitchen cooking...I cook 2-3 days and eat left overs the rest....

Popcorn, heating frozen dinners and varies foods, left overs, melting cheese last minute on a multitude of things.... heating up water, defrosting meat quick, etc, etc..reheating things.... I use mine everyday.... I would be lost without it....
